Two houses available superbly situated  on the beautiful River Ilen Estuary with fabulous views of the water and islands from every room.  This 4 Star accommodation offers a seclusion ideal for a relaxing holiday. Each house sleeps 7 people.

Boat Hire
The Ilen Estuary is the gateway to the best sailing off Ireland.There are lots of islands to explore, with the most idyllic sandy beaches.Sherkin and Heir Island provide safe swimming for children. Cruise to Baltimore for the restaurants and the great pub scene. Day sailing boats, with outboard engine, are available for hire.

An 18ft Drascombe Lugger, equipped with sails and outboard motor is an optional extra with each house.
Moored virtually outside the front door these boats make this area an explorers' paradise. The rugged coast is broken up with welcoming sandy beaches and fascinating islands, which makes for exciting and challenging sailing.

ILEN YACHTS  Sloop Sailing

 


 Local Sailing
The Heir Island Sloop has become a sizable fleet over the past 10 years. Up to 20 boats can be seen racing every Saturday throughout the summer in Baltimore harbour.Design by Gubby Williams and built with his brother Mike at their workshop on the Ilen Estuary.
